Rangsit Journal of Educational Studies Volume 1 Number 1

Dear RJES Readers,

The first issue of Rangsit Journal of Educational Studies RJES is meant to mark and celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Faculty of Education, Rangsit University.  The journal reflects collective efforts of our editorial staff to produce an academic publication in support of the University’s policy on academic excellence and contribution to the educational circle in the country and beyond.

This volume has six articles from Thai academics and those from two ASEAN countries—the Philippines and Indonesia. The Thai authors wrote about Courseware Development and Teacher Training at the tertiary level of education, followed by Sufficiency Economy at the primary school level.  The author from Indonesia told us about Indonesian Children Books from a cultural perspective.  Two authors from the Philippines discussed in their papers the use of Facebook as an extension e-classroom and Long Distance Learning for professional development of school principals.

The contents of this volume reveal the current trend in educational studies that is now coping with rapid change in demand of adjustments from teachers and educators. The findings reported in six papers are expected to help readers perceive the direction in which both practitioners and researchers in the field of education are now heading to.

Best wishes from Chief Editors

Ruja Pholsward, Ph.D.

Jamie Wallin, Ph.D.
